A year-round waterfront view doesn’t have to cost a fortune

People who want to live in a permanent home with a view of the water can do it in many cases quite affordably in our area.  You don’t have to buy a second vacation home.  Six waterfront homes are on the market right now – two in Fort Smith, three in Hackett and one in Greenwood.  Let’s check them out.

(Click the link in each description to see that home and learn more about it.)

The first home here in Fort Smith is in a gated community and has a private, lovely lake.  There are three bedrooms and two and a half baths, hardwood floors and marble and granite in the kitchen.  Size is approximately 2,500 square feet, and the home is listed for $239,000.

The second home in Fort Smith is in the Mallard Lake Estates and has four bedrooms and four full baths.  This one’s a little pricey at $640,000, but if you take a look at the gorgeous home shrouded by trees and looking out over a glistening lake, you’ll know why.

The first waterfront home in Hackett offers a lake view from every room.  It has five bedrooms and four and a half baths and has a living area of 4,508 square feet.  There’s a sun room, a gourmet kitchen and a walk-in pantry.  It’s listed for $624,900.  Again, pricey but well worth the investment.

The next home in Hackett is a cute smaller residence with 1,456 square feet.  In addition to beautiful views of Sugarloaf Mountain and the Poteau Mountain Range, you can walk to a dock to fish.  There are three bedrooms and two baths, and the home is listed for just $95,000.

The third home in Hackett is another cute buy – and this one is only $57,500.  There are two bedrooms and one bath.  Previous owners may have used it as a weekend getaway, but it would make for fine living all year long.  The property is adjacent to a Game and Fish Commission boat ramp and Sugar Loaf Lake.

The final home today is in Greenwood and has a lovely lake view.  With six bedrooms, four and a half baths, a formal drawing room, wood floors and soaring ceiling, the stately home is fairly priced at $399,900.  All together the residence has 4,547 square feet and a total of 12 rooms.

So there are six homes spanning just about every price range, from $57,500 up to $640,000.  Nick and I will be happy tell you more about these homes and show them to you, if you’re thinking of buying.

Year-round water views.  It’s here in northwest Arkansas.
